The Investigations Bureau is commanded by Deputy Chief Shawn M. Broton who is responsible for overseeing the investigations of crimes committed against persons and property and serious or unusual incidents following the initial response and investigation by patrol, and for investigating narcotic and vice activity. The Investigations Bureau is comprised of the following Divisions.

6 Northern NY border agents require decontamination after 2 become ill
Customs and Border Protection officials say two officers were examining a 2002 BMW around 6 a.m. Saturday at the Champlain crossing when they began to feel ill. Four other officers who went to help them didn't become sick.
Obama calls NSA secret data gathering 'transparent'
Obama's announcement follows an online chat Monday by Edward Snowden, the man who leaked documents revealing the scope of the two programs to The Guardian and The Washington Post newspapers. He accused members of Congress and administration officials of exaggerating their claims about the success of the data gathering programs, including pointing to the arrest of would-be New York subway bomber Najibullah Zazi in 2009.
