As a complainant, you will be advised via mail by the Chief’s Office when an investigation has been initiated and again when the investigation has been completed.

If you simply want the Syracuse Police Department to know about your concerns, but do not wish to participate in the formal complaint process, you may file an anonymous complaint. All complaints are recorded and viewed by the Office of Professional Standards (OPS).
